Hi all, I really think my Escallonia has had it's day

Hi Folks, I think my Escallonia has had it's day, see image. The width is approximately 15-20 foot, so I'll be needing something like 10 to 12 plants. I am looking for evergreen, flowering shrubs that will tolerate heavy clay, if there is such a thing. I have received good advice in the past, so I'm confident you can help me now.

I grew an Escallonia Iveyi hedge along my drive but it did suffer greatly from yellowing leaves, bare lower stems and it held on to the dead flowers. I did have to bite the bullet and dig it up. I replaced it with a Taxus (Yew) which has performed well. But as you want a flowering evergreen then I would suggest Osmanthus Burkwoodii; tough, evergreen with fragrant white flowers and will grow to a decent height.
