I need help please, i planted my monkey puzzle tree in a large pot with correct drainage
& soil (was in the ground had small roots from being moved ) he has thrived really new growth ( approx 8" over 3 years on the ends of the branches. )
The lower branches has starting to go brown from trunk onlong the branch i cut them off (2 so far) now the brown seems to be going further up the trunk,
What can you suggest please.

The natural height of this tree is over 100 feet and your baby tree is beginning to develop the normal bare trunk. It is not a suitable tree for a container and it needs more root room than it has in its present pot, which may be hastening some of the browning. Now would be a good time to decide whether you have room for it when it grows.

If you want to keep it in a pot for a bit longer, you need to repot into something larger.
