SAXIFRAGA LONGIFOLIA

I have had for over 3 years , and still hasn't flowered, do we have any Alpine enthusiasts, I keep in the greenhouse over the winter in a large pot , any tips would be useful.

It can take up to 50 years to flower in the wild. Sadly when it has flowered it will die (if it is the true S. longifolia). I suppose feeding it might hasten its flowering.

I got it from Burncoose nurseries , I was worried about feeding it , its has two rosettes and is very healthy looking

I'd just leave it alone and eventually, though who know when, it will flower... We had one in the crevice bed that flowered and promptly died. Our big one simply got ratty looking and died over the winter but we do have smaller plants coming on.

Hi Both

Little update, it has produced two flowering stems so hopefully not long before they open
