Hi last summer I had turf laid and it was lovely and green now the grass has lots of brown patches and has gone brown around the edges. I have used evergreen and xtreme grren to no effect. Is this due to lack of rain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Agree - water the grass and stop feeding. Too much feed when the ground is dry can easily cause damage.

I would say that the lack of rain is the solution to your problem. As its has been so dry, I would suggest that you might want to use very little chemical and perhaps none at all until we get some rain. The use of chemicals on your lawn could also be the reason that you have patches on it.
