I have got some white bluebells that have just turned up in my garden even though I have never planted them. Where have they come from I've lived here for 12 years and have never seen them before.

It's probably a mutation in the DNA - bluebells increase in the soil, and sometimes there's a blip in the genetic information, so these ones have come out white. They do come in white anyway, so its not a major mutation, just the code for colour of flower is slightly different from the others.

Could be Spanish bluebells they do come in white as well as pink
