Can anyone let me know the name of this plant, it flowers in May/June with bright yellow flowers and looks like a thistle and flowers every year but does not like the wet.

John Coutts is pink/purple i think. It's definitely a Centaurea . We have the yellow one at work, but i cant remember its name!

Sorry, brain went walk about, meant C. macrocephala. The two are side by side in our border and I always get them mixed up.
