I just bought a bare root Gunerra Manicata plant and I need to plant it. Gunerras do well in my area. Is there any advice out there on how deep the "bulb/tubor" should be planted? Does orientation matter? It is avocado shape and the size of a small avocado. My other gunerra is in a wooden planter with flowing water around it. Is this a good environment for a new bare root gunerra?

from what I am able to find out, it should be planted at the surface, half in and half out of the ground, and with the narrow end up. It sounds like a very small section of rhizome. Does it have root vestiges on it, and/or sprouts?
