Can anyone tell me what this is. It looks like a giant Crocosmia corm? It's very fleshy and white inside.

Rex Begonias don't form tubers like that--long, snaky rhizomes instead. It looks like a large cyclamen corm to me.

Could be a large cyclamen hedrafolium or colum tuber. Begonia rex can get that large but would go for one of the former.
