I have had a go at this once and I had to use a pick axe so good luck with it!

"Cut the stems and paint the cut ends immediately with neat Roundup" is the advice given on here a few weeks ago. I tried spraying the leaves with diluted Roundup and they died back but the plant didn't die completely. I suppose I could have tried again and again - but I moved house instead.
