Can anyone give me some suggestions for suitable plants to accompany a beautiful pale blue and lemon Hydrangea in a large stone pot - this is for my mother who loves pale yellow/lemon. I have no idea what would be good to put in now and last for a couple of months .. Many thanks - D

You could underplant with Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' - a golden leafed form of creeping jenny or Thymus vulgaris "Aureus" - golden thyme. There are golden leaved forms of creeping speedwell, Veronica prostrata that would look lovely too - and the flowers are blue.

Thanks for the suggestions Beattie - love them all!
I'm planning to underplant in a separate pot to the hydrangea so that it can be moved after flowering - probably straight into the garden. Helpful, as mom gets bored with the same display - keeps me on my toes too !!
Thanks again
