What's the texture like Diggerman? We sometimes get a sandy gritty rain. Could it be something like that? I'd just stir it into the soil if that's what it is.

it looks like one of the harmless slime moulds. does it have the texture of cinder toffee once its dried out? dig it in it wont do any harm.
