If you bought them this year, they won't flower till late summer/autumn. This plant can be grown as an annual, when they flower late - sown or grown in late summer, they can be overwintered and will flower in spring.

Thank you Bamboo - at least I know it will flower at some stage. I adore scented gardens and I have heard so much about this particular mattholia - I guess I will have to patient and rely on my night scented stock.

Ooh yes, night scented stock, love it, haven't grown it for years. Takes me straight back to childhood, that scent, my grandpa used to grow them.
