I received little plug plants which have a thin film wrapped around them, do I plant them with the film (not plastic) or remove it when I plant them in a pot?
Thank you very much for your help friends, I know what to do now.

If you can remove the film without disturbing the roots I would tend to do so. There used to be a lot of trouble with the fibrous pots which plug plants were sent out in a few years back. Be interesting to know what the 'film' is made from. I know they produce a wood based plastic for use when growing Maize in Britain which then breaks down and is ploughed back into the soil. This could be similar.

Some plug plants have this material wrapped around the roots forming a cell in which they are grown. Lots have tiny holes for the roots to emerge. Although they can be potted-on with this membrane still intact, I always remove it as long as there is little disturbance to the roots.
