Unfortunately my hardy fuschia dollar princess which is growing great looks as if a stem has dislodged itself from the base of the plant. Will I be able to re plant it in the soil as it has quite a thick stem? Any suggestions please?

I agree it would be better to use the snapped bits as cuttings.

Use the green stems though - it would be difficult to get the woody ones to root and the green ones usually root easily if kept moist. If you need advice just ask.

No, but you can take cuttings from any suitable shoots that are growing from it - remove any flower buds from it.
