Hi I have grown some bell pepper plants from seeds I got from sainsburys organic bell peppers. These peppers are like nothing I have seen before they are growing in coocoon like leaves that grew out of the flower. Please can you advise what type of pepper these are. I have tasted one (that is still small). It tastes tangy and sweet-not spicy, as I would expect. Also, they are growing round/circular.

Did you think you were buying hot peppers? Bell peppers aren't spicy and they are indeed a different shape from the hot ones..

Maybe you have tomatillos instead of peppers. Were the flowers white or yellow?

Oh my goodness! they look like tomatillos. How on earth is this possible? I didn't even know what a tomatillo was until just now. But yes, they look just like that.

It sounds like a mix up at Sainsbury's. Such things occasionally happen, even with the best seed suppliers.

How do I say thanks?
