Do I deadhead my Daffodils? The flower petals have died back, now there is swelling at the base of the flower [seed?] and I'm not sure what I should do next. Excuse my asking an obvious question like this but I have never done the spring bulbs thing before and advice is much appreciated. Cheers!

It does sound odd to us in the UK talking about Daffs in August, Pip!!! lol.

Unless you have very rich soil, Pip, I would also feed them lightly with a high potash food, such as tomato food, once or twice while the leaves are dying back. That will plump the bulbs up nicely.

Previous question
Yes remove the dead flower heads but allow the foliage to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs so that it flowers again next year.
