I have two agapanthus plants, one in the ground and one in a pot. Over the last two years the flowers have become much smaller. Why has this happened and how can I rectify it?

Where are you in the world? What garden maintenance do you carry out, including fertilisation? Are the ones in pots worse than the ones in the ground? How long have you had the plants, both the ones in the ground and the one in a pot? It would be helpful if you could add photos of the plants.
