I have a rambling rose, Appleblossom, which is over an arch. There are loads of extremely long and thick branches sticking out all over the place and they don't seem pliable enough to bend over the arch. Any tips please.

prune back any unwanted branches tie in new growth where possible but not so as to break the stems always leave room for growth of young shoots
