This follows on from the the question about tree peonies posted a few days ago. The photo shows the plant I am about to plant into a border. It has been in JI 3 all year for 1 year. Should I add nutrient to the planting hole as the leaves look a bit yellowy to me?

mine is in the same state and it is getting ready for leaf fall. as already said no point feeding now but do so in the spring.

Hi, as we're approaching autumn, I wouldn't use any fertilizer this year, the weather we've had, the plant probably thinks it's already autumn, and is shutting down accordingly, next year just use a general fertilizer such as growmore in spring, Derek.
