If anyone can help identify this tree I would be grateful. It is dark green leaved, has small golden berries which are held in clusters. There are thorns on the branches - not many of them though and they are usually around 2 inches max. It is in a shady position and is currently around 8-10 feet tall. Looks like an ash tree, a mountain ash tree. I know that you are from the UK and what I don't know is whether or not this tree is present there.
