i have just bought some plants & have started to plant them in a border i have recently had done which has a layer of bark chippings over the top. i have noticed there are hundreds of flea like creatures in the bark. What can i do to get rid of them without hrming the plants?

Unless it's the "shiny" flea beetle! They took out my Canary Creeper in two days, but left the Asarina and Chilean Glory Flower on either side alone.

They are everywhere at the moment, Ziggy. They don't do any harm and you don't need to get rid of them.
