leave it to dry out and keep the fingers crossed. It should recover no problem. If you want try taking firm leaves and try cuttings from them.

Do you think there are any firm leaves, Sbg?

You could try knocking out of pot and replanting in dry compost. I sometimes stand it on several layers of kitchen roll to draw the water out. If it has not been standing in water for too long you may be lucky

some of the sections closer to the 'heart' of the plant look firm enough to try.

Grow them on a dry regime. Is that one 'Crystal Ice'?

Thank you all for your advice. I did as Cinderella suggested and wrapped the wet compost in kitchen roll overnight then after cutting off the flowers and large leaves I repotted in ordinary compost mixed with vermiculite, do you think might do the trick?
I have no idea of the name Jonathan, I pinched a leaf of a friend some years ago just to see if I could grow it , ( you know what its like ) and did succeed in producing four new plants but its always been a bit of hit and miss, thus overwatered plant.
ps What is dry regime ?
Many thanks.

Well I think you have given it the best chance,. If it does recover, don't water it till the leaves tell you that it wants a drink. That means when they want a drink the leaves will droop, same symptoms as overwatering really, but at least they will revive when you water it then.

Oh dear....I'd give it 50/50, so don't give up on it! Obvious next step - let it dry out and see what happens! Good luck. :-)
