I'm interested in planting Veronicastrum Virginicum Fascination at the back of my mixed border! Any suggestions or thoughts welcome!

Another member of this site, Owdboggy grows these, so he's got personal experience of them, hopefully, he'll find this question, but the thing I do know about them is they like 'moist but well drained soil', that magical set of conditions that so rarely exists, so good in high rainfall areas with soil that doesn't get waterlogged. Can suffer downy or powdery mildew and leaf spot, likes full sun or partial shade.

Dead easy plant which does not need staking, except in very windy places. Looks really good at the back of a border with the stems showing over lower growing stuff in front. Makes a big clump very quickly too.
