What do I do with my old fashioned pinks, they are very
leggy, will they be ok for next year, or do I have to take cuttings

Answers

They should be ok I usually take my cuttings in spring when I cut them back and the original plant regrows from the centre.

I have recently taken cuttings (pips) from non-flowering shoots as I tend to lose some plants over the winter. Although as SBG suggests spring might be good, if you have a cool greenhouse you won't lose anything by rooting some cuttings and potting them up now.

How do I say thanks?
