I have harvested seeds from my purple coneflowers. I know it doesn't matter regarding planting but I am curious. Are just the light brown seeds or are the black as seen in the picture also seeds?

Only the small black ones are Echinacea, cone flower, seeds the rest is just chaff and, if possible, should be winnowed out prior to sowing.
