Any helpful advice about deterring squirrels from digging up bulbs. I've already opted for alliums as I've heard they dislike them but I can't give up on tulips as they're my favourite plant.

Citrus. I'm always making fresh lemonade & the used lemons go into the vegetable bed and the squirrels won't go there. (see my blogs if you want the recipe)

Remove the top inch of soil, cover the bulbs with a fine metal mesh and replace the soil. You could also put some prickly prunings where they are as a nodded deterrent.
