Hi. Can anyone help .? I have always grown brussels without any problems, I moved house last year, planted my Brussels and they grew well until the end of September when the stems started splitting and a sort of growth appeared, ?( see photo attached). Can anyone tell me what caused this and what it is,

Are those brown blobs rotten sprouts or are they on the stems between the sprouts?

looks like a type of canker. is the brown growth corky in texture. I wonder if this is a wound response to aphid damage.

I have never seen that before. Nothing shows up in my books either. More research coming up.
