I have a winter beauty clematis which produced flower buds last November before the artic cold snap. All the top growth including the buds have shrivelled and died, there is some untouched green growth at the base. Should I cut it back to green growth or will it shoot from leaf axils in the spring? My other evergreen 'Avalanche' also looks sorry for itself with the tiny new flower buds all shrivelled.

Hi, What do I need to do to keep this alive please? Thanks »
I’d like to know the answer, also, Barbarak. My Avalanche looks sorry for itself too with a lot of dead stuff though the plant itself is still alive
