Thanks to the kind people who replied to my question re a fernery. I think I have decided to use Heucheras to begin with as they keep their colour year round. Also I already have quite a few sculling around the garden. I like the idea of snowdrops and the coum cyclamen. I'll post a picture if I ever get it finished.
