I found these a couple of days ago

I found these a couple of days ago. I'm pretty sure I planted them but I can't for the life of me remember what they are. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurred, my phone isn't what it was.
The weather in this next of the woods seems to have reverted to darkest November. It's been bitterly cold with dense cloud cover and the only place to be is indoors in the warm. We're promised better weather next week. I can only hope it materialises.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Yes, you’re right, Jimmy. I knew them but just couldn’t come up with the name.
Thank you for your help.

Arbuthnot, although I've not grown that particular variety, I have grown Anemone blanda (Wind Flower), and have come to regret it as the are coming up like weeds all over the front garden. So, just be aware in case these do the same; unless, of course you love them.

I suspect A blanda. mine don't self seed very much sadly.

I do have Blanda, know how they spread. My tiny front rockery is already full of them and pretty though they are I shall have to dispatch them before they take over the lawn. They are blue, however, whereas those in the back garden are lilac. I’ve not known them to change colour when they spread but now the only thing I’m sure of is that they are anemones!

A blanda have a range of shades of blue through lilac/pink and white. Some of my self sown ones are pale mauve. Looking at the number of petals I'd go for A.blanda as A. nemerosa have fewer petals. [according to my books anyway].

Yes, I thought Blanda too. Robinsoniana are beautiful and I think a paler lilac colour with not such long stems. Actually I love all anemones!

As they are flowering at this time of the year then Anemone nemorosa 'Robinsoniana' perhaps?
