hello all,ive planted gladioli and have no flowers,do they have to be a certain age before they flower or is it my luck to plant the ones that never will flower,thankyou chris

The flower spike is (amazingly) pretty much preformed already inside the tip bud of the corm as long as the corm planted is of flowering size which it would be if bought. When did you plant them? If you planted late, say after May, you may not get flowers or get them just as cold weather starts.
