I am moving and have a miniature weeping willow tree which is about ten years old and very special to me. I have to take it but I'm not sure if I move it will it die? I think there will be leaves on it when we move or it will be just sprouting pussy. Please advise best way to relocate it.

I don't think it will make it either - there'd be more chance if it was autumn now and not spring... Perhaps its best to leave it where it is happily growing and just get another in memory of this one

at this age I dont5 think it will survive the move to be honest. you would need to dig up as much of the root and soil that you and another person could safely lift. put it on hessian type sacking and wrap the root ball up carefully then keep it watered until you can get it planted. dig the new hole at least 1.5 times bigger than the root ball and losen the earth around the area. place at the same depth and then plant and firm root ball in place. water well and often.
good luck and welcome to GoY too.
