Good afternoon all, I found this in a shady place trying to get to the sun and popped it into a pot however I haven't a clue what it is or it's needs can anyone tell me? Thanks

Thanks Seaburngirl, it was a rhizome, it will be interesting to see how it it turns out although it does very sad.

not really it could be anything. was it on a rhizome a bit like an iris? it could be Iris foetidisima. or was it coming from a bulb?
