Do you grow Polygonatum [Solomons seal]

if you do now is the time to look out for Phymatocera aterrima the Polygonatum saw fly.

Found them today on mine so I will keep an eye out for the pale greyish white larvae in the next day or so.

Strangely enough, while we have a lot of different Polygonatum we do not (so far, bows to Hubris) seem to get the saw fly infestation that others do. Probably because we are so far from any other gardens.
