I recently purchased a Mountain Snow Pieris and though it seemed to have lots of healthy looking buds they have all fallen off before opening - HELP I really love this plant and don't want to loose it. It looks very healthy and I have it in a shaded/filtered sun spot in the garden and I keep the soil moist but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I do have it in a pot as I'm in Houston, Tx and have clay soil. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thx.

Thank you Derek for your advice - I've been looking at local nurseries but no one seems to carry ericaceous compost. Going to try online hopefully I can find it - my sister-in-law had suggested that as well, she has a beautiful Pieris that's absolutely huge and full of flower at the moment in the UK.

Hi, welcome to GoY, Pieris can be grown n full sun or light shade, but need an acid soil, so as you have them in pots, you will need to have them in ericaceous compost, if they're not already in this, you will have to repot them, Derek.
