I had a lovely pink chaenomeles had it for about 9yrs its not flowered at all and its gone brown now and the leaves have curled and died is there anything I can do to save it

I had a lovely pink chaenomeles had it for about 9yrs its not flowered at all this year the leave have gone brown now and crispy and died is there anything I can do to save it there is still little buds on some of the stems but all the branches have curled a bit

could you add a photo?
scrape a little bit of bark off. is it brown underneath or green. if brown then it is dead. mine didn't make it through this winter.
