Depends what you mean by fungus - toadstools? Or algae/lichen? If its toadstools, you can't get rid of them, if its algae/lichen, improving the condition of the turf is necessary - scarify, aerate, put down an Autumn lawn feed, make sure you feed/weed/mosskill next year from April.
