Prefers neutral to acid soil, up to you, I grow mine in peat based multi purpose compost.

As Bamboo rightly says, Callistemon are supposed to prefer acid soil, but I've seen them quite a few growing very well in London and other non-acid, clay-based sites without any problems at all, so, in practice I think they are quite tolerant, so long as your soil is not actually alkaline.

How do I say thanks?
