Once pak Choi has bolted and there are flowers do I just get rid of it, have pulled one up and hardly any growth. My salad leaves have all been attacked by slugs or insects and look inedible and the broad beans are covered in black fly. The only thing that I have success in are courgettes and I’m the only one in the family that eats them.

Did you take the tips out of the broad beans? That's supposed to prevent it and its worked for me. (doesn't help this year but should for next)
Sending sympathy re your unproductive veg season. Plant some kale in August and redeem it a bit!

Sjw..thats really disappointing for you. I think that you should just uproot them once they have bolted, like most things except rocket, they will be pretty awful to eat I think. Have you tried washing the blackfly off your beans with soapy water? You might still be able to rescue them. At least you have your courgettes. I can’t grow them for some reason!
