i have an hibiscus tree which i transplanted into the garden last year from a pot because it budded but they failed to open, now its covered in buds and has grown really well but the buds are failing to open. I also have another pale pink one and that is fine in the same soil, the one i have problems with is dark crimson with white centres. I have fed it miracle grow but to no avail, also checked the buds but no insects on them, the buds are splitting open and you can see the colour of the flowers but they are going dry on the tops.

Next question
Sounds odd - this might just be a problem with that particular variety, but alternatively, is it in a dryer spot, or more exposed to very hot sun? Or has your weather cooled rapidly since the flowers started to appear?
