I have a large Indian Bean tree. This year the leaves are shiny and sticky and it is dripping black sticky sap, do you know why please? There doesn't appear to be any insect invasion.

Check the trunk and branches as well as backs of leaves. If the sticky stuff dripping down is not coming from a wound or soft area in the trunk or woody branches, but is generally everywhere with no obvious, discrete source, it will be produced by an insect infestation, either aphids or scale insect.
