No, it certainly will not survive outdoors during winter. Lantana are used as spot bedding plants in Europe. They are shrubby members of the verbena family and are tropical in origin. They must be overwintered inside.

Thanks to both of you! I have no real way of keeping it indoors so I will pot it up and try it at the front of my house. I do have a passion flower around my front door which survived the last dreadful winter so perhaps it's sheltered enough. If I'm not lucky it will serve me right for being impetuous ... but it doesn't really look delicate so I thought I might have a chance!
