If you are going to harvest seed from ivy geraniums, can you cut the flower in full bloom and have it dry and still produce seed?

Jimmy is right. I think you'd have better success to take a few stem cuttings and root them in good rich compost. You'd get an exact clone of the parent plant. Geraniums are notoriously easy for this.

You will have to let the flowers run to seed whilst still on the plant. However, most modern ivy-leaf geraniums are hybrids and will not run true so you might end up with a rubbish plant.
