PLEASE CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY THIS FRUIT/TREE?
'FRUIT' IS PURPLE IN COLOUR AND ABOUT THE SIZE OF A CHERRY BUT SHAPE OF A VERY SMALL PLUMB - IS IT POISONOUS? - BIRDS DON'T SEEM TO BE TOO INTERESTED! MANY THANKS IN ANTICIPATION OF REPLY.

Either Damson as Bathgate says, or Bullace, a type of wild plum. The one on the left has signs of Plum moth larva damage to it.

certainly a plum family member. as to which that is down to foliage and flower form. they tend to be a bit on the bitter side.

Unlikely to be poisonous, and probably good for cooking even if not for eating raw.
