I have had a banana plant and a canna in pots on the patio all summer. Should I bring them indoors now or will an Unheated greenhouse keep them through the winter? Also the canna needs dividing, should I do this before I over-winter it or in the Spring? Thanks.

they will both die back in the autumn. but bring them in before the first frosts if you can. leave them to dry out. then in spring re introduce water to the banana after repotting in fresh compost. I would split the canna in the spring too.
