Sharing parsley seed by post?

I grew a delicious giant flatleaf Italian parsley which went to seed this year. I want to share but read that the germination rate is much higher if the seed is really fresh. Should I just send a lot of seed & hope or should I grow them & send as plug plants?

Thanks Hywel. & it's not as if I've got a shortage of seed!
Just need to make sure that the recipients oversow a bit to compensate for the postal bashing😊

If you send the seeds immediately they will still be fresh, and it will be cheaper and you won't have to pack them up like with plants. And you won't have the work of sowing them and finding somewhere to keep them until they are big enough to send.
