Is this honey fungus. I removed a large overgrown jap anemone plant about 2 weeks ago. Been on holiday for a week and this fungus was growing where the plant was removed. It's been warm and dry here. It's not growing directly in contact with any plant.

These are degraded to the point where its difficult to tell what they are, so as it stands, they don't look like honey fungus. Honey fungus usually starts in association with woody plants, though it may then spread to perennials.
