Can anybody tell the name of this winter flowering clematis.I have had it for 4 years and it's the first time it has flowered. Also will I need to prune it. If so when and how much.

To be specific, its Clematis cirrhosa 'Wisley Cream', and its Prune group 1, which means any pruning should be done immediately after its flowered. Information in the link below - there's an embedded link under pruning which leads to info on how to prune for plants in this group
