Ratte Potatoes.
Does anyone know anywhere near Wrexham where I could buy Ratte seed potatoes?
I’ve found them online, but the postage is more than the cost of the potatoes.
Many thanks

Thank you so much, scotsgran. There is a potato day in Mold on 16th Feb., not too far from us.

If you have not been to a potato day before I think you will be delighted to see the amazing array of potatoes available and plenty of people willing to share advice too. Enjoy.

I went to the Mold Potato Day years ago, when we’d only just moved here. I really enjoyed it, so am looking forward to it I might buy some other single tubers to try too.
The reason I want Ratte potatoes is James Martin used them when he was cooking in France on one of his tv programmes.
Also, may years ago, we had a lovely meal in France with some wonderful yellow waxy potatoes and I’m hoping Ratte potatoes might be the ones!

There is a potato day in Crewe and you can contact the organisers via - For More information contact Crewe Town Allotment Federation on: Mobile: 07588703030 Email : Crewetownallotmentfederation@gmail.com Website: www.creweallotmentfederation.co.uk
If that is to far away from you have a look to see if there is anything closer to you on

You can find out about the traders booked to attend and will be able to pre order what you want. This cuts out the P&P.
Waitrose are offering Ratte seed potatoes. There is a branch in Chester. I would phone to confirm they have them in stock if it is a distance from you.
