Hi any ideas on a medium sized flowering shrub for a shady border that’s a bit dry, something that would grow into a nice ball shape about 70 cm wide
Thanks

Weiglia do ok in shade and whilst not a ball you can prune it into the shape you want. Euonymus will also tolerate shade and dry. I have one under the beech tree along with a sarcoccoca. Acuba is another option.
see what others suggest.

I have a part shadedbank which gets dry at the top. Flowering shrubs up there I have magnolia stellata. Mahonia media, buddleia ‘Santana’, leycesteria formosana, Argyrocistus battandieri, Cornus Mas, malus (Crab Apple), elaeagnus, privet. The leycesteria is great, especially ‘Golden Lanterns’.

Choisya ‘Aztec Pearl’ is the perfect size, and it flowers twice!
